Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics

Dr.K.Madhuram is currently working as Prof  & HOD and joined the institution in 2007 right from its inception. She completed her under graduation from Tamilnadu government dental college in the year 1999. She then pursued her masters in endodontics and completed it from Ragas Dental College in the year 2005.She has a teaching experience of around 15 years. She possesses an effective teaching style and her passion towards teaching enlighten young minds, where her knowledge and dedication will be utilized to share the passion for the subject. 

Dr.V.Naveen Kumar is currently working as Assistant Professor and joined the institution in the year 2009. He completed his undergraduation fromTamilnadu M.G.R. university in the year 2004 and then followed it up with his postgraduationfrom Ragas university in the year 2009. He has a teaching experience of around 11 years. His professional skills include; ability to perform multiple single visit endodontic therapy, Post endodontic restorations, Direct and indirect esthetic restorations, Surgical endodontics.

Dr.Ashok Leburu is currently working as a Reader and joined the institution in the year 2012. He has completed his undergraduation from Tamilnadu M.G.R university in the year 2008 and followed by postgraduation from Annamalai  university in the year 2012. He has a teaching experience of around 8 years. He is a confident, soft spoken person who believes in himself. He shares an equal passion for teaching and clinical practice with an eye for perfection.

Dr.K.E.Selvendranis currently working as Professor and joined the institution in the year 2014. He completed his undergraduation from Vinayaka Mission university in the year 2009 and then followed it up with his postgraduation from Tamilnadu M.G.R university in the year 2014. He has a teaching experience of around 6 years. He is currently doing his P.H.D  in Annamalai university. He is very passionate and sincere in his work and a very good clinical practitioner. He has attended several conferences and has publications to his credit.

Dr. Praveen. N is currently working as a Reader and joined the institution in the year 2015. He has completed his under graduation from Bharath university in the year 2007 and followed it with  postgraduation fromTamilnaduM.G.R  university in the year 2015. He has a teaching experience of around 5 years.His passion towards teaching has influenced students on daily basis by sharing his knowledge and guide them to pursue their dreams and work enthusiastically.

Dr.Atul Babu Kurian is currently working as Senior Lecturer and joined this institution  in the year 2019. He has completed his undergraduation from Sri Ramachandra university in the year 2011 and completed  his post graduation from  SRM university in the year 2018. He has a very student friendly approach and constantly motivates students to achieve their best.

Dr.Manoj Kumar is currently working as Reader and joined this institution  in the year 2019. He has completed his undergraduation from Bharath university in the year 2015. He has completed his postgraduation from the same university in the year 2019. He has presented 3 papers and 2 posters during his post graduation. He has also won best paper awards at the 32^nd IACDE and 25^th IES National Conference in 2017 as well as awards at the 18^th IACDE & IES PG Convention in 2017.

Dr SHURUTHI.J MDS joined this institution in 2021 and currently working as Senior Lecturer. She has completed her BDS from SREE BALAJI DENTAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL in the year 2017. She did her  MDS from SREE BALAJI DENTAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL in the year 2021. She has attended various conferences and CDE programs and have various international and national publications she also has won the best paper in 27th IES national conference held at Delhi.

Dr SUBASHRI MDS ,joined this institution in 2021 and currently working as Senior Lecturer. She has completed her BDS from Adhiparasakthi Dental College in the year 2017 and her MDS from CSI college of Dental Sciences and Research in the year 2021. She has  attended various conferences and CDE programs  and has published in  various international and national publications.

The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Dental Sciences was established in the year 2007.The department of Conservative dentistry & Endodontics forms the backbone and foundation of clinical dentistry. The ultimate goal of Conservative dentistry is to preserve natural dentition or to restore it to the best state of health, function and esthetics. Endodontics is the branch which deals with the etiology, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases of pulp & periapical tissues compatible with good health. It is filled with staffs who are full of enthusiasm and are always eager to impart their knowledge to the students.

The department has a preclinical and a clinical wing.  The pre-clinical wing comprises of dental materials and a preclinical conservative laboratory and a plaster room. It is well ventilated accommodating around 60 phantom heads. This is where the undergraduate students hone their skills to become the best version of themselves. The clinical wing has Patient waiting area, Reception area, Instrument sterilization room, RVG room, Special clinic, Staff room and a Seminar room.  It houses both the undergraduate and post graduate training program. Apart from this we have a well updated library and equipped with advanced surgicalmicroscopic equipment as well.

We believe that the best way to transform students to achieve their maximum potential is through a student friendly approach and hence the staffs strive to achieve this every year to best of their limits.
